Where Are You God?

Are you in a place that you feel discouraged or doubt  that  God hears you? Some of the most successful ways the enemy attacks us is to rob us of joy, weaken our endurance in waiting upon the Lord, and steal our hope.

It is not uncommon that we sometimes question, “Where are you God?”  Even believers in the Bible were faced with being discouraged or doubting.  If we approach the Lord sometimes with faith, sometimes with doubt, we are being double-minded. It affects the power of your prayers.  Mark 9:23-24 describes a man who asks Jesus to deliver his demon- oppressed son. Jesus told the man, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” But the man's reply was “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Faith and trust in God's word comes from reading and staying in the word. You can come boldly to God to ask for peace and  help with your unbelief.  God wants to draw you closer to Him, and uses your difficulty to get you to totally depend on Him. We are not in control of anything, and God wants His best for you. Give God a chance. Psalm 138:7 says, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.”  The hardest things are to wait upon the Lord, to see the change, or to receive an answer.  It is during this time that God can give us strength,  grow us, and deepen our relationship with Him.  God is listening.  If you would like to know Jesus or would like prayer you can email me at Sheila@singlemomsjourney.org.
